Entry #7
I never really cared for hashtags until my boyfriend became one #TattooForPhilip. He is now known as the guy who tattooed the T-Mobile tattoo logo on his arm. It started as a joke by my boyfriend posting “Hook me up with a iPhone 8 and ill tattoo the T-Mobile logo on my arm for all to see, you have my word @JohnLegere” but ended up a little too serious when the CEO of tmobile tweeted back to my boyfriend. John Legere said “Sounds like a deal! Prove it! #TattooForPhilip” and that’s when John, himself, created the hashtag. My boyfriend woke me up from my slumber and said we HAD to go out @1AM to go look for a tattoo parlor, so there we were driving around looking for an hour. We found NOTHING, so we headed home but he was determined to get that free iphone. At this point my boyfriend messages his friend and he couldn’t do the tattoo, bummer right? My boyfriend’s friend came to the rescue with his lady friend and there we went the next day. Not knowing who this girl was, how her tattoo work was or her name. We did introductions and then the magic began. For the next hour, my boyfriend got his tattoo and i played with the artist dog. That entire time my boyfriend kept asking “are you taking pictures of this? Are you documenting this?”. And of course, I was documenting, 70% of the time. As I take pictures of this journey my boyfriend is keeping everyone in the loop and tweeted this “A deals a deal @JohnLegere, and the deed is done. I gave you my word, I'm forever representing team magenta #TattooForPhilip”. With that followed a response of John stating “Whoa. Nice tattoo!! Let's get you that iPhone!! @tmobilehelp will grab your info! #TattooForPhilip”. Not even a week goes by and he got a package with some T-mobile merch and his phone. Talking about a good day?! And to top it off my boyfriend got asked to be on local news and got contacted by a couple of people for questions. Til this day people ask him about his tattoo and get recognized by people.
