Happy Anniversary

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, The smartphone that changed what was capable of smartphones and the mobile industry in 2007. Since being introduced in 2007, Apple’s iPhone has been the most sold mobile phone for 10 years. Each year bringing new innovations that are to benefit the lives of the user and changing the game for it’s competitors. However, a running joke for those against the iPhone is that apple doesn't do anything innovative with their smartphone. That Apple copies other companies like Samsung and hasn't brought anything new to the smartphone market. However, what these anti-apple consumers fail to understand is the iPhone is a game changing device and has been the leader in innovation.

The iOS App Store was the first of it kind when it arrived in 2008, it introduce a new way to use your smartphone making it even smarter than before. This is what transformed the iPhone from a normal smartphone into a new platform for software developers. Google’s android platform soon followed in apple's foot steps and released their own android apple store later called the Google Play store years later.

In 2011, Apple unveiled Siri to the world, being a first of it’s kind of mobile virtual assistant. Siri gave users a new way to get more from their smartphone, a way to interact with you phone in a personal manner. A digital assistant that’s purpose was to make the user's day to day life much simpler. Google again followed in Apple's foot steps, when shortly after the release of Siri, Google Now was released as a compensating digital assistant.

Apple’s iPhone 5S was another game changing iPhone when it was announced in 2013, being that it was the first phone with a 64 bit processor. All other smart phones of the time were only 32 bit processors, meaning that the iPhone 5S was the most powerful mobile phone to ever exist. This impacted the way developers developed apps for the iPhone and proved just how powerful a smartphone could be. Shortly after the release of the iPhone 5S, Android developers caught up with Apple when HTC unveiled the HTC Desire 510, The first 64bit Android phone.

Apples iPhone 5S wasn't the first phone that you could unlock with your finger, however it was the first phone to get it right. Touch ID changed the way that you secure the important information in your phone. There was no need for remembering your password, which could easily of been broken, Touch ID took the fear of others unlocking your phone. It wasn't until two years later that Google got serious about fingerprint security making it a priority for all Android smartphones.

Finally, Apple changed the smartphone game again with the release of the iPhone 6S which introduce 3D touch. 3D touch or force touch changed the way in which we interacted with our iPhone’s once again. 3D touch introduce a new way to execute different commands on your device depending on how hard you press on the display. For example, users can easily select a selfie option by pressing on the camera icon allowing for a pop up menu to appear with different camera modes that when selected would open the camera app in that mode. With the release of Android 7.0, google tried to mimic Apple's 3D touch but to no avail with only a small amount of supported apps mostly google's pre loaded stock applications.

In conclusion, Apple’s iPhone isn't a copycat device, it in it’s own way is a device that is the leader in innovation. A device that paves that way for other smartphone manufacturers to follow in their footsteps. Apple proves time and time again that they are a force to be reckoned with and that they will continue to lead the mobile market at full force. Regardless of what  anti-apple consumers say, Apple will always prove naysayers wrong.

I’ve always pictured blogs being a person’s “all about me” page of the internet. However, blogging is quite the opposite, blogs are full of people confessing their guilty pleasures or simple things in life like coffee. Blog’s can be about things big or small, blog’s can be about other people that the person just happens to have a huge love for. There’s blogs about animals, food, fashion, toys, vacation spots, even blogs about the love of other blogs. Blog’s aren't all about me sections of the internet, if i were to say what blogs are about, blogs are all about everything. Blog’s aren't limited, they don’t have rules, it’s a way that a freedom writer can express their love for whatever they feel like writing about. Blog’s are one of the very few places that the true meaning of anything is possible is a reality.

I really enjoyed reading the blog,  https://postsecret.com/, There presentation is beautiful and I adore how people can be so vulnerable to admit their fears, sins and guilty pleasures. I know they’re not showing who they are but it’s still a wonderful thing to let so many people know you’re deepest fears without the fear of judgement. I love this concept because we can only keep so much bottled up that eventually we have to let someone know how we’re really feeling. This blog gives those who feel they don’t have a way to express their feelings, a platform to do so and i think that is beautiful.  

I was on the fence about a blog called,  https://lifehacker.com/. Their presentation wasn't of my taste, varying lacking of creativity. For example, the font was the same throughout the multitude of blog post and there wasn't anything that was captivating about the design. Though their was interesting blog post,there wasn't anything too interesting that would keep me on bored reading a large amount of content. I was entertained on the blog topics like “How To Make Your Smart Assistant A Whole Lot Smarter” and “Here Are the Most Interesting Details in the JFK Documents” because it’s not something you think about until someone brings it to your attention.

All About Me

HI, I'm Juztize Nevarez. I'm a 18 year old college student born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters. A mom named Lisa and a step dad named Pete. I also have a boyfriend named Philip, we live together, adopted two dogs named Beanie and Sadie, and love each other very much. I don't have many hobbies, Philip and I are always out doing something with each other or with our families, most of the time though it's going to Dave and Busters, Movies, or one of my favorite places to eat. I work a lot, Philip likes to say that i'm a workaholic but i disagree. I work at Potbelly Sandwich Shop as a shift lead, i love my jobs because i love the customers that i get to see everyday. Plus i get free sandwiches after work for lunch, who's gonna turn down free sandwiches? As far as goals go, my goal is to finish college with a degree in marketing. I chose marketing because i feel like i have a unique talent when it comes to ideas on how to market a business and i would like to share those ideas. My main goal in life is to become a professional photographer and sell my photo's to those who love my work. i feel i have a eye when it come to getting the perfect shot and would love to able able to show others that i have talent when it comes to taking pictures.
